Style, Set, Go Series // Sequins on Tap

Don't you just wish sometimes your daily attire could consist of long dazzling ball gowns? This may be a random thought, but I would lying if I said it had never crossed my mind.

Meet Aimee. The magic behind the well-known blog, Song of Style. One of the leading reason I am just so head-over-heels about her blog is how she manages to mix and match styles, trends, & years.

Over on her blog, she stated, "This is my last outfit from New York fashion week. I wore this Zimmerman sequin the Zimmerman show". The elegance of the mid-length pile of draping sequins I find breathtaking. The square cut, low waistline brings me to a 1920s flapper dress. Styles from the 70s, 80s, & 90s are commonly found throughout today's fashion however, it is peculiar to find a designer incorporating trends from early the 1900s. The asymmetrical hem of the dress gives a nice modern touch.

Another modern aspect is the addition of these black Zimmerman booties with a gold metallic block. I think we can all agree they are simple, chic, & utterly unexpected. As for Aimee's accessories, she kept it fairly minimal. She wore a pair of delicate, long, geometric earrings from Louis Vuitton & simple gold rim sunnies.

For such a jaw-dropping outfit, Aimee managed to dress it down a tad & modernize it. Two things many people find difficult to do. I am in love! Are you interested in some of these pieces? Head over to SONGOFSTYLE.COM for more!
