Banana Oatmeal Cookies or as we call them, Banookies. These cookies are awesome. They require hardly any time and ingredients. Not to mention, they are healthy and delicious!! By the way, this is a fantastic Hurricane Harvey activity for those of you trapped indoors.

Yesterday, I made a quick batch of these cookies and due to their popularity, I thought I would share the official recipe.

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • Chocolate chips or what ever preferred add-ins (i.e. dried cranberries or crushed candies)

  • Sea salt

  • Preheat oven to 350*F

  • Mix together the bananas and oats

  • Add in chocolate chips to taste & salt

  • Using a teaspoon, scoop the batter onto a cookie sheet

  • Bake for 7-15 minutes (Nothing is raw so feel free to bake as much as you like)

  • Once cookies are semi-cooled sprinkle with sea salt

  • Serve warm or cold

  • Store in refrigerator

  • Enjoy!!

I hope you enjoy this recipe! It makes for a perfect dessert or mid-day snack! Stay safe and hunker down!!
